the city. One of the enormous and blissful
temples of Jaipur is ‘Govind Dev ji’. It is
recorded in the Guinness Book of World
Records for its architectural structure.

exclusive and very mesmerizing.
The Govind Dev ji temple is a legendary one,
dedicated to Lord Krishna, deity of the
royal clan, Kachhawaha’s. The temple was
built in 1890, during the reign of Raja Man
Singh. The structure of the temple is
remarkable as it covers an area of 15,827
sq. feet. It is roofed up with a single span
of 119 feet and can accommodate 5000
devotees.
The temple is situated in the compound of
the City palace, and is positioned in
between Chandra Mahal and Badal Mahal. The
temple is registered as a public trust and
is managed by the sole trustee Shri Anjan
Kumar Goswami ji. He is the eldest son of
Late Shri Pradhyumna Kumar Goswami ji.
The effigies of Lord Krishna and Radha are
adorned in exclusive dresses, flowers,
ornaments and accessories. You will discover
diversity in the attire each time when you
visit. The visitors are distributed with
Prasad (sweets). The very enchanting
devotional song ‘Hathi ghoda palki, jai
kanahiya lal ki’ can be heard during the
festive season. The devotees feel being in
trance during the Aarti (the prayers).
