Jaipur is the hottest tourist destination. There is so much to explore as a traveler here such as the forts, monuments, palaces, gardens, and temples. Besides all these interesting places, the city’s forest area also consists  rich wildlife. Ranthambore National Park, Sariska National Park, Nahargarh Biological Park, the Zoo, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Sambhar Wildlife Sanctuary, and animal rides actually indulge the wildlife lovers.


The wildlife sanctuaries such as Ranthambore National Park and Sariska National Park have been known for their wildlife assemblage. Initially, Ranthambore National Park served as a hunting ground for the past Maharajas. After Independence, the government declared it as a protected area, and it came under ‘Project Tiger’. It is a National Park now and serves to save endangered tigers.


Sariska National Park is about 107 km from Jaipur and has a reason to save rare species of animals and birds. This thriving sanctuary came under Project Tiger and was declared as a National Park in 1955. Today, it serves to be the best location for wildlife watchers.


You can feast your eyes by having a look over a huge outgrowth of flora and fauna in the heavily wooded park. Various carnivores like Wild Dog, Hyena, Leopard, Jackal, and Tiger can be seen here. Other species like Chausingha, Chitel, Nilgai, Sambar, Wild Boar and Langur etc and birds such as Grey Partridge, Peafowl, Tree Pie, Grey Partridge, Bush Quail, Grey Partridge, Sand Grouse, Golden Backed Wood Pecker, Crested Serpent Eagle and the Great Indian Horned Owl are like celebrities followed by bird watchers.


Nahargarh Biological Park of Jaipur is a delight for wildlife lovers. The park covers an area of about 7.2 sq. km. and holds a compilation of lions, tigers, crocodiles, langoors, monkeys, leapords, etc.

The Zoo in Jaipur is also worth a visit. In addition, visitors also get an opportunity to enjoy animal rides. Jaipur is well-known for its royal animals in processions like elephants, horses, and camels.


Rides are conducted at places such as Amber Palace, Chokhi Dhani Resort, and Desert Trail Resort, etc. Beautifully adorned elephants and camels with colorful stuff look beautiful. One can experience the royal magnetism by enjoying such rides.
