Weather in Jaipur is extremely hot in
summers and bitterly cold in winters. The
charmingly tourist-loved city mainly has
three types of seasons. The hot sun in
summers, foggy winters and scanty monsoons
are the ones that this city sees. However,
winter is the best season to come here and
explore the city. Jaipur is close to the
desert area but one will rarely find any
glimpses of it within the city.
Jaipur is situated at an altitude of 431m,
above sea level. It is the capital city of
Rajasthan located in the north-eastern
region of the state.
Dominating winter season prevails, from
October to March. Throughout winters, fog is
prominent in the evenings. However, the days
are comparatively sunny and cozy enough.
During the nights the temperature dips deep
to even 3oC.
Summers are very hot as the temperature
soars to 45oC and spans from March till
June. If in case visiting during summers,
light-colored clothes are preferred such as
cotton and muslin, covering parts of the
body fully.
The monsoons are not very prominent which
generally start from mid- July. A lot of
people hang out at forts during rainy season
and enjoy the weather. Jaipur generally
faces scarceness of water as the average
rainfall is recorded to be very less or
insufficient.
