Spread on a large area of 800 sq. km and housing the diversity of the Indian wildlife, Sariska National Park is another sanctuary which cannot be afforded to be missed. It is a home to a rich flora and fauna variety. Various carnivores like Wild Dog, Hyena, Leopard, Jackal, and Tiger can be seen here. Other species like Chausingha, Chitel, Nilgai, Sambar, Wild Boar and Langur etc., and birds such as Grey Partridge, Peafowl, Tree Pie, Grey Partridge, Bush Quail, Grey Partridge, Sand Grouse, Golden Backed Wood Pecker, Crested Serpent Eagle and the Great Indian Horned Owl are like celebrities followed by bird watchers.

Sariska National Park is a part of the Alwar district which served as the hunting game grounds to the royalty. However, later in 1955 and 1978, it was declared as a Wildlife Park and Project Tiger Reserve, respectively.

The park is also worth watching due to some historical places in it. The ancient Kankawadi Fort was built by Jai Singh II of Alwar in the 17th century. Pandupole is a famous pilgrimage spot for devotees and tourists which is believably one of the mythological stoppages of Pandavas. The Nilkanth Temple is also a religious place built by the local Bargujars. The royal hunting lodge built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar, the Sariska Palace, is also an added place to go to along with a warm natural spring named Tal Briksh in the forest.

The deciduous woods of acacia look like a wooded garden of its own beauty. It is 107 km from Jaipur and 35 km from Alwar. Accessible through air as the Jaipur Airport is at a distance of 107 km from the sanctuary. Railways and roadways are always there to help. The best time to go to Sariska is round the year. For full enjoyment and a close rendezvous with nature and its beasts, it is recommended to stay within the premises of the park. The park provides various hotels which are affluently comfortable to economical ones. Then there are lodges and nature camps set up for keen nature observers too.

The Entry fee for Sariska National Park is Rs 25 per person.
Extra charges have to be paid for cameras (about Rs 10) and vehicles (Rs 100 for a minibus; Rs 75 for jeeps and cars).
