Jaipur, ‘The Pink City’ is the perfect blend

Museums are a great place to see collections
of art and craft and specimens of the
historical times. Jaipur embraces a number
of fine museums, which clutch a huge
collection of things that probably have
remained unseen.
Jaipur comprises of three main museums: The
Central Museum, City Palace Museum, and
Dolls Museum.
All three museums showcase several varieties
of art and craft. Majorly, the museums were
built during 18-19th century. These not only
preserve the local specimens of art and
culture, but also showcase varieties of
international art and craft.
For instance, the Egyptian Mummy at the
Central Museum, dolls of international
attires at Dolls Museum-such as USA, Mexico,

The Central Museum is the one that is
managed by the Government. It houses about
19000 objects all together related to the
rare old times. This place is a specialty of
the city with the architecture of the
building, offering a great view.
Museum’s carving is done according to the
Indo-Sarcenic technique of architecture. The
City Palace Museum is a segment of the
palace.
This royal palace serves as a current day
residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Built
in 19th century, the museum showcases
several awe-inspiring art and craft articles
belonging to the bygone era of royalty.
Besides the specimens, the palace itself is
worth a visit.
As one visits the museum, he gets an
opportunity to visit the entire palace. This
palace is beautifully carved which allures
several visitors. On the entrance way
itself, you will discover two brilliantly
carved elephant sculptures, which are made
of pure white shimmering marble. The main
attraction of the entire visit will be, two
huge vessels made out of silver.
Another museum is the Dolls Museum of the
city. It consists of an enormous collection
of dolls from all over the world.
