One of the most magnificent palaces, Jal
Mahal is recognized as the ‘Water Palace’.
Built in 1799, the Jal Mahal Palace was
built in Man Sagar Lake enclosed by the
Nahargarh Hills. The palace served as a
preferable destination for duck shooting
parties meant for the royalty. The
architecture of the palace exhibits an
amazing amalgamation of Rajput- Mughal
structural designs.
The magnetism of Jal Mahal is because of its
astonishing and exclusive architecture. The
fort encompasses five storeys. The one that
is above water level is artistically
constructed to astound and magnetize
spectators.
The Jal Mahal Palace is built using red
sandstone, and is adorned with admirable
cenatophs. It is located on the way to
Amber, and is sited about 6.5 km from the
city.
As the sun sets, the palace gets draped in
ostensibly beautiful shades. The grandeur of
the palace is unparallel. The palace is the
hottest hang out place. During the monsoons,
the venue near Jal Mahal is jam packed with
numerous nature lovers.
Not only the palace but its surroundings are
abundant for leisure activities. The
visitors can enjoy various rides accessible
near the palace. Very beautifully adorned
camels and elephants are available for
rides, near the palace. The place also
enchants kids, to enjoy these exciting
rides, and seemingly, it is the finest
picnic spot for families.
As the night sets, the palace comes alive
with ornamental lights. The mirror image of
the palace in the lake gives it a panoramic
view. The vibes cuddle-up the romance among
couples.
The lake around Jal Mahal Palace serves best
for flourishing varieties of flora and
fauna, and houses a number of migratory and
resident birds.
The consistent efforts of the Government
have led towards preservation of the lake in
regards to various areas such as ecology,
wildlife, and fishery. One can even satisfy
his appetite, along with eye-feasting views
of Jal Mahal by visiting the nearest coffee
outlets such as Café Coffee Day and a very
popular ice-cream parlor.
