Jaipur, the traditional city was planned in 1727, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler and founder. The king was a core believer of God who built numerous temples during his reign. The renowned temple of Govind Dev ji is an exemplary. The city encompasses a number of big and small temples.


The Kali Mata Temple of Amber is known for its silver work. The extravagance of the temple astonishes locals and visitors. There are such temples that are a must visit, as they hold several legends with them. Drench yourself in mystic bliss, offered at holistic destinations of the city.


The temple of Moti Doongri Ganesh ji is customarily visited on each new vehicle purchase. The temple is sacred enough for natives  to believe that the blessing of lord Ganesha will bestow luck and long life to the vehicle. There are a number of celebrations that are conducted in the temple. Ganesha the lord is always worshipped before initializing any new venture or purchase.


The temple of Govind Dev ji is one of its kinds. It has even been awarded for its structure, and documented in Guinness Book of World Records for Best Concrete Structure Award.


Govind Dev ji temple was built in 1890, during the reign of Raja Man Singh and is dedicated to Lord Krishna, deity of Kachhawaha’s. The structure of the temple is remarkable and covers an area of 15,827 sq. feet. The temple is roofed up with a single span of 119 feet and can accommodate 5000 devotees.


The other renowned temple is Laxmi Narayan Temple or Birla Mandir. This famous temple is made up of shiny white marble. It actually becomes attractive at night during the ‘aarti’ that is the evening prayer. Numerous visitors visit the shimmering marble temple every year.


The kings and the royal families had settled at Ramgarh before the foundation of Jaipur was laid. It is the place where the legendary temple of ‘Jamwa Mata’ was built, and is still attracts flocks of visitors. Jaipur is a city that encompasses natives of diverse communities. Jain community has been one of the thriving business communities in Jaipur. The Jain Temple of the city is known for its utmost architectural splendor.


The Jagat Shiromani Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is beautifully carved witness of the past glory.
