A beautiful and royal structure, Hawa Mahal
is an elite regal building renowned for its
royalty and architecture. Its windows are
arranged in such a manner that the palace is
also known as ‘Palace of Winds’. The concept
behind the creation was to let the royal
ladies watch the processions passing through
the streets below, being unnoticed by
outsiders.
Built during the realm of Maharaja Sawai
Pratap Singh, this building consists of five
storeys. It is a semi-octagonal windowed
building and embraces artistically set 953
small windows. Each storey of the building
is carved with graceful stones, with great
perfection. Beautiful jaalees and jharokhas
(windows) enhance an exclusive gaze at the
grand past.
“Jaipur Past and Present” is a lesser form
of an archaeological museum. It is an added
star into the tourist spot list. The timings
to visit the museum are 10.00 to 16.30 hrs.

visit the Govind Dev ji Temple. It leads to
the City Palace, as all are interconnected.
Each construction is a legend as all the
monuments are arranged in such a manner that
they can facilitate an easy reach to the
ruler.

City Palace. So, Jantar Mantar was made at a
distance that the king could see the actual
time as he gets up in the morning. Later, if
the king wished to visit the temple, so his
desire can transform in the form of Govind
