The museum comprises of dolls displaying the ethnicity of various parts of the country. Not only national, the museum showcases international dolls too. The museum is placed at a distance of 4 km from the city centre. It was built in 1974.


India is a country that houses many traditions. And, the diversity in the nation is beautifully exhibited in the museum. The museum consists of dolls of all regions existing in this magnificent country. Costumes of various states such as Assam, Kashmir, Bengal, Punjab, and Gujarat are worth a visit.


Dolls of diverse attires look glorious. Dolls portraying bridal dresses of different states are also showcased, which even seems colorful and beautiful. Moreover, the Indian collection comprises dolls in attires of classical dance forms, such as Kathakali, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, etc.


The collection of international dolls is seen in national dresses of countries such as USA, Mexico, Britain, Spain, Uganda, Sweden, etc. The assortment contains dolls that are dressed in bridal costumes of different countries, such as China, Burma, Japan, etc.


An educative trip for kids to Dolls Museum is always rewarding. The compilation also consists of some other art forms too, like paintings, woodwork, pottery, sculpture, metal objects, etc.
