Bagru is a small town situated at a distance
of about 35 km from Jaipur which comprises
of great artisans responsible for noteworthy
block printing artwork since years. The
wooden blocks that are used to print are
carved with beautiful designs. The town is
the major source for hand printed Bagru
textile. The major business of the residents
is hand-printing with wooden carved blocks.

selling product (USP) is its Bagru Prints.
It should be noted that Bagru Prints are
famous for being eco-friendly along with an
exceptional quality. Such a unique form of
printing takes place in an area named Chhipa
Mohalla. Printers living in that quarter of
the town have been carrying ahead this
ancestral form of business which is roughly
three-centuries old. White base is enhanced
with colorful block printing and the colors
used to print are mainly red, black, and
blue. The die used for printing is
completely organic, and add a fashionable
look to textile articles.
World-renowned Bagru Prints are an important
part of the Rajasthani print and textile
industry. Bed sheets, bed covers, pillow
covers, mats, and table covers etc ., are
easily available in Jaipur markets. A lot of
shopkeepers keep Bagru Prints in their
collection generously.
